The Chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigerian (NAHCON) Jalal Ahmad Arabi says that the commission will comply and adhere strictly to Hajj 2025 calendar set up by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure adequate and timely preparations.

He encouraged state tour operators, to commence registration of pilgrims now.

He said this during the post Arafat meeting with relevant stakeholders in the Hajj industry in Makkah .

Every Hajj for Nigerians pilgrims comes with its own challenges , and this year’s Hajj was no different.

Even though , some pilgrims have issues with the feeding, Basic Travel Allowance, bed space , some were affected by the heat wave, poor medical screening for pilgrims at state level, poor sanitation , over crowded tents, among other complaints .

Others commended Nahcon for the way the commission was able to handle some of these issues amicably .

A post Arafat gathering organised is to assess the 2024 hajj exercise and plan ahead for the next hajj in 2025.

The Nahcon Chairman , Jalal Ahmad Arabi , commended everyone for a successful 2024 hajj exercise and hopes to improve in the next hajj exercise in 2025.

But the representative of tour operators disagree with this; citing issues of some tents not being catered for .

Other stakeholders present disclosed how pilgrims will be airlifted back to Nigeria.

Reports provided by Nahcon shows that since 2024 hajj exercise began, there have been two pregnancies, two miscarriages, forty eight conjunctivitis, two hundred and eighteen cases of diarrhea, and three mortalities.
