Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has been turbaned as the Waziri Mumini of Osun State.
Chief Imam of Osogbo, Sheik Musa Animashaun, said the turbaning was bestowed on the minister on account of his contributions to Islam in the state while he was governor.
The event which took place on Satuday was the largest gathering of Muslim faithful for Rauf Aregbesola in Osun State since he became the minister of Interior.
Traditional rulers, friends, political and members of the All Progressive Congress were there to witness the turbaning of the minister.
”I thank the Osun Muslim Community and everyone too numerous to mention who showed their support. For me, the turbaning is a call for more service to Almighty Allah and humanity!,”the Governor said on the honour done to him by the Muslim community.
