The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, has commended the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, for his remarkable contributions to the growth and reform of Nigeria’s education sector.

The Minister gave the commendation on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, upon his arrival at the Maiduguri International Airport, Borno State, ahead of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Annual Conference.

He was received by senior government officials, including the Director of the Maiduguri Zonal Office, Mohammed Suware, alongside other key education stakeholders.

In a brief address, Alausa described Oloyede as a visionary leader whose reforms have significantly enhanced transparency, integrity and efficiency in the nation’s public examination system.

Responding on behalf of the JAMB Registrar, the Zonal Director expressed appreciation to the Honourable Minister for the recognition, assuring that Oloyede remains committed to sustaining and deepening the ongoing reforms in the education sector.
