Image result for LAUTECH Alumni wants Osun, Oyo Assemblies to legislate monthly SubventionThe Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Alumni Association has called for a legislation of monthly subvention to the Institution by the Osun and Oyo State Houses of Assembly.

Rising from his emergency meeting of extended executives, held in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, the Association appealed to both Staff and students of the University, to give peace a chance and allow stakeholders find lasting solutions to the lingering crises.

Rafiu Hammed reports that President of the Association, Solomon Onilede wants the two owner states to continue to follow the existing funding structure to avoid further crises in the institution.

Solomon Onilede noted that disengagement of joint ownership may be the permanent solution but want staff and students to be patient. He promised to meet with some Traditional rulers in Osun and Oyo states as parts of moves to proffer lasting solution to the problem.

Series of protests by staff and students of LAUTECH had taken place over joint ownership of the Institution in the last few weeks.
