The Kogi State Government has announced plans to establish a new international market in Lokoja, the State capital.
This followed the completion of a bidding process for the award of the contract organized by the state ministry of commerce and industry.
The new market is to be located along Zone8 Crusher road, built with ultra-modern facilities such as shopping malls, banks, abattoir, multiple car parks, clinic, police post, warehouses, stalls and open spaces for convenient shopping and leisure.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry sighted by our reporter in Kogi State, Michael Illah, the new Lokoja International Market is aimed at putting the State on the global map by addressing the current needs of businesses, positioning it as a major player in the regional and global trade landscape.
