The kidnapped Enyimba Football club midfielder , Dayo Ojo and Abia Comet player Benjamin Iluyomade have regained their freedom after four days in captivity.
Dayo Ojo and Benjamin Iluyomade were abducted by gunmen on March 22 on the Benin-Akure highway at Ipele town in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State on their way to Akure after their clubs declared an emergency holiday following the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.
Enyimba Football Club confirmed the release of the players in a statement via its official twitter page.
The news comes with huge relief for fans of Nigerian Football, which has recorded some tragedies with the death of three players in the last few weeks.
