As Imo Governorship election draws near, two Socio-political groups Owerri Zone Political Leaders Forum and Orlu Political Consultative Assembly are Mobilising for the re-election of Governor Hope Uzodinma in November.

The leaders at a one day leadership summit in Owerri agreed to Mobilize voters from their respective Political zones to ensure the Governor emerges victorious at the poll.

It was the gathering of two dominant  socio-political groups from Imo West and Imo East Senatorial districts, Orlu Political Consultative Assembly (OPOCA) and Owerri Zone Political Leaders Forum (OZOPOLF)

They are here to discuss on how to achieve Imo charter of equity as proposed by the State council of elders and how it will be beneficial to the two zones going forward.

At the end of the closed-door meeting, the groups in a joint press conference agreed to support Governor Uzodinma’s Re-election Bid to ensure a seamless power rotation in 2027.

For the leadership of Owerri Zone Political Leaders Forum, the new collaboration will further strengthen their Political relationship with Orlu zone and boost the chances of Owerri Zone to produce the next Governor after Gov. Uzodinma in 2027.

As politicians continue to strategize for the November Governorship election in Imo State,  These leaders believe the re-election of Governor Uzodinma will stabilize the polity and strengthen the implementation of Imo charter of equity.
