The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has approved President Muhammadu Buhari for second term in office. The position of Gombe APC was revealed on Thursday by the ward, local and state government levels.

The party branch applauded the Buhari-led government for efficiently combating the Boko Haram insurgency as well as coming up with developmental projects, particularly, in the Northeast political zone.

The Gombe APC said it has no other presidential candidate in 2019, other than incumbent president. The deputy chairman, Gombe South of the party, Julius Ishaya said the meeting was deliberately put together for the APC to strategise ahead the 2019 general election.

He also revealed that the meeting was organized by a strong member and governorship hopeful of the party, Alhaji Habu Muazu, in conjunction with party leaders.

While urging party officials to ensure support for Buhari to continue with his fight against corruption, among other initiatives aimed at repositioning the country for good, Mua’zu  canvassed  unity among members of the party.

He announced his decision to open offices for the Buhari campaign organisation as well as the APC across the 114 wards and 11 local government areas in the state.
