In order to guarantee food security, Nigeria’s water resources ministry has initiated a National Irrigation Development Programme aimed at establishing a one hundred thousand hectares of irrigated farmland across the country.
Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu disclosed this at a briefing in Abuja where he outlined the successes recorded under his two-year stewardship.
