Residents of Maiduguri the Borno state capital have continued to flee to safe places as their houses are being submerged.
The flood which according to sources is as a result of the collapse of Alau Dam.
The popular Monday market, hospitals and schools have also been submerged.
At the moment, the state government has commenced evacuation of survivors of the flood to temporary camps.
