Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig-Gen. Paul Boroh, says the Nigerian government is ready to engage youths in the region in operating modular refineries.
Boroh who spoke at a meeting in Akure, the Ondo state capital, said the youths need to be encouraged to be involved in productive ventures in order to tackle pipeline vandalisation and oil bunkering in the region.
This development, he said became necessary to create decent jobs and income for the people, and put them in a better position to drive the local economy.
