CSOs, NITDA assure youths in tech sector of support to promote digital literacy

CSOs, NITDA aim to encourage youths in tech sector to develop digital literacy

Civil Society Organizations in the digital sector in partnership with NITDA have assured Nigerian youths of their commitment to encourage them in tech and non-tech skills needed for the future , in order to develop the Nation’s economy.

They aim to reward youths through competitive incentives.

In a country with nearly fifty percent of its population residing in rural areas with limited access to basic infrastructure, there may be a significant challenge in realizing digital literacy by 2030.

The Nigerian Digital sector is determine to change the narrative as it is slowly becoming active .

This is why the Federal Government using the Ministry of Communications have decided to train three million Nigerians in technical skills in the next few years.

This conference is aimed to create awareness , by hosting an annual digital for all challenge, which is designed to reward self – development and encourage acquisition, and use of digital skills through competitive incentives.

CSOs and various agencies in the digital sector involved in this project, pledge to ensure the goal of having ninety percent digital literacy in 2030 is achieved.
