Stakeholders in Zamfara have been urged to cooperate with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Zamfara State Command, and other Security agencies to enable peace return to the State.

The NSCDC boss in the state, Commandant Sani Mustapha, enjoined the stakeholders while addressing press men on the occasion of the International world peace Day at the Annex state headquarters Gusau on the 22nd September 2025.

According to a statement by the CDPRO, Zamfara State Command, ASCII MM Umar, Mustapha was quoted to have said that “the 2025 international world peace day celebration which is tagged with the theme: ‘Act Now for a Peaceful World’ is apt and in line with the yearnings of every good spirited individual who is in serious need of peace especially in Zamfara State.

The statement reads: “The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Zamfara State Command, Commandant Sani Mustapha has enjoined all stakeholders in the state to collaborate with the Corps and other Security agencies to enable peace returns to Zamfara State.

“The NSCDC boss in Zamfara State gave this charge when he addressed press men on the occasion of the International world peace Day at the Annex state headquarters Gusau on the 22nd September 2025.

“Commandant Sani Mustapha said that the 2025 international world peace day celebration which is tagged with the theme: ‘Act Now for a Peaceful World’ is apt and in line with the yearnings of every good spirited individual who is in serious need of peace especially in Zamfara State.

“He said that the Corps is however poised to support the executive Governor of the state , His Excellency, Dr Lawal Dauda in the pursuit of peace and tranquility in the state.

“Commandant Sani Mustapha also extolled the impeccable leadership of the Commandant General , Prof Abubakar Ahmed Audi OFR mni who has given a professional boast to Corps which has led the peak where the corps is today.

“He also admonished the good people of Zamfara State to embrace peace, act in accordance with the 2025 theme for the peace day celebration and to ensure a conducive society for business to thrive.

“The 2025 International World Peace Day was marked with the presentation of an award of excellence to the State Commandant,Sani Mustapha by members of the Corps and a walking jogging round the Gusau metropolis to create the awareness of the day in the public.”
