Chris Giwa has protested against the five-year worldwide ban placed on him by FIFA on Tuesday due to the leadership tussle in the NFF.
The world football governing body extended the national ban imposed by the NFF Disciplinary Committee on Giwa on May the 12th, 2016 to have worldwide effect on him.
The Amaju Pinnick-led NFF board banned Giwa and four others for five years for impersonation and taking football matters to a civil court.
But a statement signed by Habila Ardzard, lawyer for Giwa’s NFF board, claims the ban extension by FIFA was orchestrated by the Pinnick-led NFF board while Giwa says he has yet to get notification of his ban.
