The duo of Omoyele Sowore and Olawole Bakare have pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit Treasonable felony and Treasonable felony charges preferred against them by the Federal government.

The prosecution had told the court that the order given by the court was obeyed, the sum of two hundred thousand naira was paid to the defense counsel, Olayinka Olumide-Fusika.

Kayode Halilu, Chief state counsel from the Ministry of Justice told the court that they are ready to proceed with the trial and witnesses are the court.

In his response, counsel to Sowore, Abdul Mahmud, argued that the order given by the court for the witness statement to be served on them has not been complied with. He cadded that the court can not proceed with the trial as the defendants are not prepared.

But Mr Halilu said a summary of the witnesses statements was served on the defendants.

Mr Mahmud agured that what they needed is the full statement and not summary.

In his ruling, the trial Judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu ruled that the trial must go on as the defense counsel is at liberty to ask the prosecution witness any question at any given time.

Counsel to Mr Sowore, thereafter  moved for the video clip brought as evidence to the court, to be served on them.

Courthowever adjourned to 11th, 12th and 13th march for definite trial.
