The Babcock University has held its 12th doctoral hooding ceremony at its campus in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, South-West Nigeria.
About 164 doctoral graduates concluded their programme at the University, after pursuing various courses for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The management of Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo in Ogun State, staged the hooding ceremony for 164 doctoral graduates, who are expected to make impact on the society, based on their research theses and studies.
Olutayo Shokunbi presented the 164 candidates to the Vice Chancellor and President of the university, Professor Tayo Ademola, the school management and the public in 12 batches.
The scholars were recognised for their hard work and dedication in various fields from the School of Basic Medical Sciences, School of Education and Humanities, School of Law and Security Studies, School of Management Sciences and others.
In his address, the Secretary to Ogun State Government, who represented Governor Dapo Abiodun at the event, implored them to look beyond academic achievements and lead meaningful lives through entrepreneurship.
In the valedictory speech presented by Christian Asonye on behalf of other doctorate graduates of the 2022/2023 academic session, they expressed readiness to make a difference in the society, with their exceptional education experience.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students of the institution who have completed their courses, are expected to be conferred with various degrees at the convocation ceremony at the weekend.
