At least 25 people have died in a fatal accident involving a trailer at Dangwauro Flyover along Kano – Zaria Road.The Federal Road Safety Corps, Kano Sector Commander, Ibrahim Abdullahi, in a statement said the accident involved 90 people with 53 injured and 12 rescued unhurt.
According to the FRSC, preliminary investigations reveal over-speeding and loss of control by the trailer driver.
Rescue operation was conducted in collaboration with the Police and other emergency response agencies.
Items recovered and put into Police custody included six motorcycles, ten mobile phones, animals (rams & goats), maize, and the sum of four thousand naira.
All victims of the road traffic crash are currently receiving medical care at Murtala Specialist Hospital in Kano.
