A coalition of youth groups in Nigeria under the aegis of the Coalition of Independent Nigerian Youths have written an open letter to the President, Muhammadu Buhari, on the proposed social media regulation bill.

The letter signed by Nathangad Inem, proposed 7 issues what it termed as more pressing alternatives to end bad governance in the country and ensure peace, stability and development.

The alternatives listed by the group include general amnesty for looters of palliative items across the country, electoral reforms, health reform, salary review, passage of a bill to set up a jobs and contracts portal, death sentence for all corrupt government officials and a general audit of all government finances since 1999.
