Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Geidam has described the threat to Igbos by some northern youth groups, as unlawful, unfortunate and unwarranted.
Geidam assured Igbos and other citizens from various parts of the country residing in Yobe State of their safety and urged them to carry on with their businesses.
In a statement from his media aide, the governor said the youths have a responsibility to contribute to the peace and stability of the nation.
Recall that some northern youth group issued a three month ultimatum to all Igbos living in any part of northern Nigeria to vacate the region before October 1st, 2017.
