As the local government elections commenced across the 17 council areas of Plateau State, a large turnout of electorates exercising their franchise was recorded in the state.
The officials of the Plateau State Independent electoral commission arrived at the various pulling units early and commenced the exercise at the stipulated 8 in the morning official time.
Security operatives, party agents, and election observers, both local and international, are all on the ground monitoring the exercise.
