U.S. Lawmakers have criticized United Airlines handling of the case of the passenger dragged off an overbooked flight last month.
The carrier’s apologetic chief executive was on the hill to state the airlines side of the story in the face of consumer anger at the treatment of David Dao.
Last week, United reached a settlement with Dao and changed its policies by reducing overbooked flights and offering passengers who give up their seats up to $10,000.
