President Bola Tinubu has emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the party’s direct primary election held in Abia State.
Announcing the results at the party secretariat in Umuahia, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, disclosed that 162,084 voters were accredited, while a total of 162,012 votes were cast.
President Bola Tinubu secured 161,005 votes to defeat Stanley Usifo, who polled 1,007 votes.
