President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as a distinguished traditional ruler whose life has been marked by service to Nigeria and his community.

In a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised the monarch’s contributions across the banking sector, diplomatic service and community leadership.

The President highlighted Bamalli’s public service record, noting that he rose through the ranks of Nigeria’s diplomatic corps and served as the country’s ambassador to the Thailand, with concurrent accreditation to Myanmar, from 2017 until September 2020.

Tinubu also recalled the Emir’s service as a commissioner with the Kaduna State Electoral Commission.

“His Highness embodies the finest traditions of leadership and scholarship. His 26 years as a seasoned banker, his tenure as a pioneer staff member of FSDH Lagos, and his service as Executive Director and Acting Managing Director of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc, reflect a commitment to excellence,” the President said.

Tinubu further commended the monarch’s leadership since ascending the throne of Zazzau on October 7, 2020, noting that he has continued to promote peace, unity and development within the emirate.

The President prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom and good health for the traditional ruler as he marks the milestone.

“As His Highness marks this milestone, I pray for Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom and many more years of impactful reign in good health,” Tinubu added.
