Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr says the standard of football at the on-going Afcon in Gabon is affected by the poor playing surfaces.
There have been complaints that some of the injuries sustained by players have been as a result of the poor pitches.

Rohr gave an example of the Stade de L’amitie which he describes as good when viewed from the tribune and the terraces, but very hard on the surface.
Players like Ahmed El Shennary, Baba Rahman and Jonathan Pitroipa have all picked up injuries on the playing surfaces.
