As the world shifts from resource based to knowledge based economy, stakeholders have advised Governments to key into the potentials of technology and artificial intelligence as a means of sustainable diversification.
This advocacy follows an exhibition of robotics, artificial intelligence and live coding by young pupils in Osogbo.
Reports say that artificial intelligence will contribute more than $15 trillion to the global economy by 2030.
However, experts believe Nigeria has the potential to attract a large percentage of this amount through strategic alliances with Africa and other countries of the world.
At the second edition of this technological exhibition by teenagers between the ages of four to twelve in Osogbo, participants tasked Government to create enabling environment for its citizens.
Items exhibited include, Drones, robotics, coding, among other scientific products as coupled by these young ones.
Panelists want parents , government and other stakeholders to encourage their children to explore the opportunities provided in technological innovation.
They refute claims that artificial intelligence will displace people from their jobs.
Over one hundred pupils participated in the 2024 exhibition with the theme, “Empowering Future tech Innovators”.
