A former governor of Sokoto State and a presidential aspirant, Attahiru Bafarawa, is advocating party supremacy in the nation’s politics, in order to strengthen parties’ internal democracy.
After consulting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Bafarawa said the idea will reduce friction among politicians and bring peace instead of crisis, ahead of next year’s general election.
