Staff of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company have vacated their offices following the expiration of a “Perform or quit” Order by the Ijaw Youth Council development.
This has plunged many parts of Yenagoa into darkness with the IYC insisting that the management of the Company must show commitment with action before its staff will be allowed to return.
Over time, the Central Zone of the Ijaw Youth Council has expressed dissatisfaction with the services of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company.
On the 23rd of December, the IYC stormed the premises of the PHEDC on the expiration of a “Perform Or Quit Order” issued to the management of the Company.
