The Chairman house of representatives committee on Petroleum Resources downstream, Joseph Akinlaja said a speedy passage of the petroleum industry bill, will solve the recurring fuel crisis in the country.

He told newsmen in Abuja that the bill will be passed before the end of the 8th national assembly.

He also decried the country’s continual dependence on importation of refined petroleum products.

He added that the committee will intensify surveillance on petrol stations to ensure adequate supply and distribution of products across the country.
