Organized labour in the oil and gas industry picketed the Lagos office of Baker Hughes in protest over alleged anti-labor practices by the company’s management.
The aggrieved members of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior staff Association of Nigeria are kicking against the sack of some its members without following due process.
PENGASSAN also disrupted operations at the Port Harcourt office of Baker Hughes demanding an end to what it described as illegal redundancies and casualization of labor.

It explained that the company has been forced to cut cost and restructure its business due to unprecedented market conditions.
