Secondary school teachers in Ondo state have called on the federal and state governments to increase budgetary allocation to the education sector.

The state chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS, made the call at an event in Akure, to mark this year’s World Teachers’ Day.

Dayo Adebiyi says governments need to meet the United Nations’ recommendation of 26 percent allocation to education.
