Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has approved the appointment of Professor Usman Ogbo as the new Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba.
A statement by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State says the appointment follows the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marietu Tenuche.
Until his appointment, Professor Ogbo served as the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
Governor Ododo commended the outgoing Vice-Chancellor for her achievements and dedicated service to the state, while congratulating Professor Ogbo and urging him to build on the gains recorded by his predecessor.
Meanwhile, the Governor has also approved the appointment of Dr. Avidemi Salifu as the new Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
Governor Ododo congratulated Dr. Salifu on his appointment and charged him to justify the confidence reposed in him.
