The National Institute For Legislative And Democratic Studies and the management of the National Assembly are seeking ways of strengthening their
relationship to advance democracy in Nigeria.
At a retreat in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, both parties seem to agree that a poor working relationship has hindered the development of the legislature
in the country.
Uyo is gradually becoming the destination of choice for State and National Assembly retreats in Nigeria. Secretary to the State Government represented the Governor Udom Emmanuel at the event.
Emphasising the importance of Synergy, the leadership of both parties get plaudits for making the retreat possible for effective collaboration.
The theme of the two-day retreat is: “Improving Synergy Between The Institute And National Assembly Management For Efficient Service Delivery”.
