Image result for Nigerian Security operatives discuss inter-agency cooperationMilitary and paramilitary personnel have met at Nigeria’s military cantonment in Jaji, northwest of the country, for a training on checking inter-agency rivalry.

The training is meant to help officers consolidate on gains made against insurgents in the country’s north.

Tesem Akende reports that officers from different security agencies in Nigeria and beyond resumed  three weeks ago for what was tagged; Operation Haske Biyu.

Theatre commander, operation lafiya dole, Major General Lucky Irabor was one of the resource persons at the gathering.

He told participants that improved coordination between security personnel is key to snuffing out asymmetric threats against Nigeria
and the African continent.

Again it was reiterated that internal security rests with the police force.

Authorities of the force were further enlightened on the need for timely information and intelligence sharing, but above all when to
call for support in line with the rules of engagement.

Certificates were presented to the participants, with a call on them to go and replicate all they have learnt in the field.

Senior Course 39 then came to an end, with 132 officers in attendance, cutting across 13 agencies.
