The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 675 new cases of covid-19 overnight, taking the country’s total number of cases to 20,919.
The Director General of the NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu says as of this moment, no state in Nigeria is free of the coronavirus.
All 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory has cases of infections.
Mr Ihekweazu disclosed this Monday’s briefing of the presidential taskforce on covid-19 in Abuja.
Of the 675 new cases, Lagos recorded the highest figure with 288 cases followed by Oyo with 76.
Rivers has 56, Delta 31, Ebonyi 30, Gombe 28, Ondo, Kwara and Kaduna 20 cases each, Ogun 17, Abuja 16, Edo 13, Abia 10.
Nasarawa and Imo have 9 cases each, Bayelsa, Borno, and Katsina have 8 cases each, Sokoto and Bauchi 3 each, while Plateau state has 2 cases.
A total of 7,109 people have been discharged while 525 people have died from covid-19 related complications.
