The new Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, Mr. Musa Kimo, has read the riot acts to criminal elements, especially violent herdsmen in the state, promising to disarm them.
While speaking with journalists in Yola, the state capital on Thursday, Kimo assured the residents of the state of the command’s readiness to crack down on criminal elements in the state.

According to him, his posting to the Adamawa State command was solely to ensure that the ultimate vision of the Nigeria Police to make every Nigerian and particularly the citizens of Adamawa feel safe and secure.
He said from the briefing he had received, the challenge before him would be to handle the recurrent clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers on the one hand and other unscrupulous criminal elements like kidnappers, cattle rustlers and armed robbers on the other.
