The Nigerian Export Promotion Council has re-introduced the African Growth and Opportunity Act Visa Stamp to exporters.
The aim is for Nigerian exporters to participate and benefit from the Act before it expires in 2025.
The African growth and opportunities act is a United states trade act.
The legislation was enacted on 18th May 2000, and significantly enhances unhindered market access to the United states of America for Nigeria.
Its purpose is to assist sub Saharan economies improve economic relations with the US, provide trade preferences for quota and duty free entry into the U.S. for certain goods.
The Nigerian export promotion council has continued to advice exporters on the gains of taking advantage of this act.
African opportunity and growth act was developed to facilitate exporting of over 6,000 goods into America with no tariff.
