All over the world, the major challenge women entrepreneurs and others interested in setting up a business most often face is funding.
The Nigerian government has through the central bank of Nigeria, Bank of industry, Bank of Agriculture and in recent times development bank of Nigeria provided series of funds and grants for business growth and development across the country.
Member of the women business group of the Nigerian association of chambers of commerce industry mines and agriculture in collaboration with the center for international private enterprise say this funds must be made more accessible.
The group has decided to take it upon themselves to bring in concerned financial institutions to educate women on ways to go about accessing all available loans and grants.
NACCIMA said concerned agencies must share accurate data pertaining to women’s access to available financial opportunities to help address this ugly trend.
