Morocco has made history by winning the 2025 FIFA Men’s U-20 World Cup, defeating Argentina 2-0 in the final in Santiago, Chile, early Monday.
Yassir Zabiri was the star of the show, scoring both goals for Morocco—first in the 12th minute and then doubling the lead in the 29th minute—securing the North African nation’s first-ever FIFA trophy.
Morocco becomes only the second African country to lift the U-20 World Cup, following Ghana’s triumph in 2009.
Argentina, who had earlier eliminated Nigeria’s Flying Eagles with a 4-0 victory in the second round, struggled to find a way back into the match.
