Mohmmed Adoke has written to the general secretariat of INTERPOL in France demanding his release.
Adoke been in detention since the eleventh of November on charges of corruption in Dubai.
Mr Adoke says his arrest and current trial is political persecution by the Buhari administration and amounts to an abuse of court orders.
Mr Adoke is alleged to have been involved in the controversial Malabu oil deal, for which the EFCC sought to prosecute him and another suspect Dan Etete who is a former minister of Petroleum
Mr Adoke played a key role in a 2011 agreement that saw the transfer of OPL 245, a rich oil block, to Shell and Eni. In return, about $1.1 billion went to Malabu.
The oil companies and their officials are already standing trial in Italy.
Back home , the trial has been stalled largely by the inability of the EFCC to serve papers on the defendants.
