The Governor warns all players in the sector to respect the law or face the consequences of any indiscretion, no matter who the perpetrators are.

A 7 Storey building had collapsed on the Idowu Oniru Street in Lekki area of Lagos State on Sunday 4th of September.

The now former Commissioner who was at the scene of the Collapsed building complained about the hostility t o the officials of the ministry from the developer of the collapsed building indicating this was responsible for the inability of the Ministry to prevent the collapse.

The building collapsed was marked sealed by officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency but work continued at the site until it collapsed on Sunday 3rd of September more 16 months after it was initially sealed by the agency.

The building collapse has at the last count claimed 5 lives.
