Lagos Police Command Transfers all Personnel from Ajiwe Station

The Nigeria police is not leaving any stone unturned in their bid to ensure justice is done in the murder case of omobolanle Raheem a female lawyer at the Ajah area of Lagos this is a the lagos Commissioner of Police gave an Order Transferring ALL Policemen serving At Ajah Police Station.

Recall that Omobolanle Raheem’s death brings to two number of Nigerians shot and killed by officers attached to that particular police station.

The Police police relations officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the new development in  a telephone call with our correspondent.
However officers drawn from the command are expected to take up new responsibilities at the station.

WHAT HAPPENED?

A Lagos based Property lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem, has reportedly been shot dead on Christmas.

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) member was killed by a Senior Police officer, an Assistant Superintendent (ASP).

The incident occurred near the Ajah bridge on Christmas Day while the deceased was returning from church.

Mrs Raheem was reportedly shot while she sat in the car with the husband driving while she was on the front passenger seat.

The Lagos State Polie Command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in his reaction to the Shooting described the incident as unfortunate and avoidable.

The spokesman described the officer’s action as one completely in conflict with the rules of engagement of the Police.

“The ASP that shot and two others with him have since been taken into custody. They are to be moved to the SCID for further investigation”, he tweeted.

Police Personnel from the same Police Station had shot dead an unarmed young man Buraimo Gafarau on the 6th of December while raiding black market fuel sellers.

The Nigerian Bar Association has also condemned the killing with the Ikeja Branch Chairman and Other Leaders describing it as nothing but cold blooded Murder.

Mr Ikechukwu Uwanna in an Interview with TVC News said the association will be closely monitoring developments on the issue.
