A Magistrate Court sitting in Bolade, Oshodi area of Lagos State has sentenced two men to two weeks imprisonment for urinating in a public place.

The development was disclosed in a terse statement on the X handle of the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.

According to the statement, the two defendants, identified as King Vandross and Mathew Michael, were arraigned before the court over the environmental offence.

The defendants reportedly pleaded guilty to the charge brought against them.

Following their guilty plea, the court convicted and sentenced both men to two weeks in prison.

The Lagos State Government has continued to intensify enforcement of environmental sanitation laws across the state as part of efforts to maintain cleanliness and discourage public nuisance.
