The Kwara state government has appealed to a group of pensioners under the aegis of “Concerned Pensioners” to allow justice take its full course in the payment of their entitlements.
The group had dragged the state government to court over an alleged non payment of the full benefits of its members in 2008.
The legal tussle got to the Supreme Court before the apex court asked that the case be returned to the state high court.
The pensioners claim that the state government made part payment and currently owe them 1.68 billion naira.
