Kano to build 484 Primary Healthcare Centres

Image result for Kano  Primary Healthcare CentresKano state government said it is perfecting plans to establish a Primary Healthcare Center in each of 484 wards of the state.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje disclosed this on the occasion of the 2020 Primary Healthcare Summit held in Kano State.

Lack of adequate funds and physical barriers to receiving preventive health care constitute some of the challenges faced by residents in Kano state.

It is further worsened by inadequate health education and inadequate treatment of existing health problems.

Medical Experts at the summit are impressed with the projects and programmes already executed by the Ganduje Government towards providing adequate healthcare service delivery in the state.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje insisted that healthcare needs of the Kano people remain sacrosanct and are important to the Government.

According to him, more funds would be committed to uplifting the health status of the state through establishment of one primary healthcare centers each in the 484 political wards of the state.

Minister for Health, Osagie Ehanire believes Kano has efficient human resources to meet the universal healthcare coverage needs.
