Kaduna state has signed an urban renewal memorandum of understanding with Chinese construction giants, CCECC.
The move is expected to improve economic competitiveness in Kaduna the state capital, Zaria and Kafanchan.
The MoU with fourteen components has roads, lighting, housing, parks and recreation among others making the list.
Some existing roads in the metropolis are billed for dualization; among them the popular WAFF road and Yakubu Gowon way, with an under pass at the Leventis round about.
The state governor says the transformation will come with pain in some instances, but pleads with residents for understanding.
The contractors assure they would deliver on the projects, most of them within 24 months
