The just concluded local government elections in Plateau is still generating reactions across parts of the State.

The locals claim that the election materials brought by the PLASIEC officials to the community were not complete, which they agreed to wait for completion but later heard the announcement of result from the area without the exercise taking place.
One of their demands is for the electoral body to conduct a re-run election for them to exercise their constitutional rights.
On the other hand, stakeholders of the ruling People’s Democratic Party are still commending the peaceful manner in which citizens in the State conducted themselves during and after the polls.
The State electoral body is urging anyone with grievances on the council polls to seek legal redress in the court of law.
