The Institute of Counseling in Nigeria has offered professional certificates to practicing counselors and psychotherapist.
This is aimed at bringing a reduction in mental health disorders and improve professionalism in the counseling practice in Africa.
The institute of counseling in Nigeria was founded in 2010 as a Christian based independent educational charity. it provides counseling courses for practicing counselors and psychotherapist to gain professional and skillful expertise in helping people deal with mental health.
It’s the institute’s 5th annual graduation and award giving ceremony, Family and friends are gathered to celebrate with students who have now acquired professional certificates.
As an association that advocates for mental health, they say seeking professional help from counselors helps in tackling this issue.

Special guests present at the ceremony commended the work of the institute in tackling the issue of mental health, the impact it has placed on the graduating students and how important it is for individuals to seek help from counselors.
Some of the graduating counselors were awarded with the most outstanding student in practice, academics, and advocacy.
They also shared the remarkable impact the institute made on their lives.
The ceremony ended with other exciting activities, like dance performance by one of the therapist, drum presentation and the cutting of cake.
