Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has reaffirmed that he remains at peace with his principal, insisting both of them are working together in the interest of the state.
Speaking after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the governor explained that his visit was to formally brief the President on the lifting of his suspension and his resumption of duties on September 19.
He also emphasised that the peace restored in Rivers State among political leaders is genuine, and the reconciliation is real.
Governor Fubara disclosed that President Tinubu offered him counsel on leadership and governance, assuring the people of Rivers that his administration remains focused on stability and service delivery.
His visit comes days after President Tinubu lifted the state of emergency in Rivers, last week which had been in place since March 18, 2025.
