Ekiti state Governor, Ayo Fayose has mobilized traditional hunters in the State, in reaction to the attack of herdsmen in Benue State and other parts of the Country. Fayose met with the hunters at the Government House, Ado Ekiti at an occasion where he also received Benue State indigenes resident in the State.

TVC News Correspondent Akin Ogunmola reports that the vigilance of traditional hunters and the coming into operation of anti- grazing law enacted by the Ekiti State Government have been able to
checkmate the nefarious activities of herdsmen in the State.

The meeting at Government House with the hunters according to the Governor, is a proactive move to warn that Ekiti State is a no go area for militia herdsmen.

Fayose also use the occasion to commiserate with the Benue State indigenes resident in Ekiti State for the recent dastardly killing of their kiths and kins by Fulani herdsmen.

The first time Fayose mobilized Ekiti traditional hunters was in early 2016 when Fulani herdsmen struck in the State and killed two persons and injured several others at Oke – Ako in Ikole Local Government Area.
