President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over the national security council meeting in the chambers of the presidential villa.
In attendance are Service Chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, National Security Adviser, Minister of Defence, Minister of Interior and other members of the president’s cabinet.
This meeting comes off the heels of call for the resignation of the service chiefs over their failure to curb banditry and the boko haram insurgency that continues to ravage the northern part of the country and other violent crimes that has become prevalent recently.
